Augusta Elementary School hosted a family fall activity evening held outdoors. Students, along with their parents, participated in a hayride, read aloud, participated in writing sessions and a light meal was served. Every student went home with a fall-themed book.
Thankful for FFA
The Hampshire County FFA affiliate has been hard at work over the past month. The Halloween Land-Style was a big success, with a turnout of over 200 kids throughout the evening. Members were stationed at different carnival-fashion games, while others helped the kids paint pumpkins.
Honoring veterans
To honour veterans, Slanesville Elementary School held a Veterans Twenty-four hours parade and assembly Friday, Nov. 12 at 9 a.m., with about 25 veterans in attendance.
