Cobra Amp 4 H Cobra Amp Hybrid Review

Review: Cobra AMP Jail cell Hybrid

Wait Skillful, Feel Good, Play Good 2.0.

Much of what I found for the Cobra AMP Cell three-forest, I constitute to be true of the Cobra AMP Cell Hybrid.   Thus the motto Look Good, Experience Good, Play Good 2.0. I think you could apply that motto for many aspects of life, but it seemed especially truthful of the Cobra AMP Cell hybrid.  In 2013 Cobra introduced a plethora of colour options for their wood and irons.  Red, Blue, Orange, and Silver.  This allows you find a wait that fits your style and personality.  While it is simply paint, information technology can brand an affect on how you view your clubs.  If you are tired of white or black, now you tin can choose from these colors.  I really liked the look of the bluish painted woods.  I started with the 'blue bomber" Cobra AMP Prison cell driver earlier this year.  Since I liked that so much I thought information technology would peachy to see how the matching hybrid would perform in my bag.

I went with the stock set-up in a stiff flex and started playing it at 18*.  What makes the new Cobra AMP Cell line so peachy is the "My Fly" hosel technology which allows you to adapt the loft of the lodge without having a major impact on face up bending because of the "Smart Pad" sole design.  Once I got this club on the course the first thing that I noticed was how good it felt.  The Cobra AMP Cell line of woods are probably the all-time feeling clubs made in 2013.  It is that perfect blend of metallic and blended.  The face feels amazingly hot, but withal in that location is a muted sound to it which is pleasant to the ear.  What is nice about this hybrid is that it has a decent sized confront then even on miss-hits it still felt actually expert, yet has a meaty body.  It wasn't a dead feeling when you missed the eye, you could feel the deviation, but it still wasn't harsh.  So with the E9 face technology and great feeling AMP characteristics, it is just a affair of getting it dialed in.

Corking looks and great feel don't necessarily mean great performance.  Simply the Cobra AMP Jail cell hybrid offers great playability.  I started with it very stock neutral set up-upward and had cracking success.  I was hit the ball very straight and very high.  It had good distance, but like the driver and 3-wood the lofts seem to play higher than marked.  I lowered the "My Fly" loft to 16* and now this order came to life.  It played how I normally play an eighteen* hybrid.  Over the course of the next 4 rounds I started hitting the trajectory and distance I was looking for.  I wasn't quite every bit consistent management wise as I wanted with this hybrid, simply the feel and trajectory were very consistent.

I call up my consistency problems came from the stock shaft which I'm non actually certain what information technology is. It just says Cobra on it simply the biggest effect is that information technology is merely 58 grams in the strong flex which is really light for a hybrid shaft.  I recollect this threw off my swing a piddling with this society.  If I concentrated on my tempo and command I striking this hybrid very well, but when I just went hard later the ball, information technology was a little wild.  The grip and headcover are pretty standard stuff, a Lamkin REL 3Gen 360 grip and a long headcover with a cutout handle.

A hybrid has to do more a driver or 3-wood in terms of playability.  Typically a hybrid is called upon to hit shots off the tee, from the fairway, out of the rough and even in a fairway bunker.  I recollect to be a versatile hybrid, the body needs to be meaty.  The Cobra AMP cell hybrid is that perfect philharmonic of forgiving size, notwithstanding meaty shape.  I hit this hybrid out of every scenario imaginable and it really shined in each situation.  The long crude shots are some of the most critical for my game.  I hit my 4 iron around 195 yards out of the rough and at times I actually need that 210 marking to reach the green.  This is one of the all-time hybrids out of the rough.  The smooth lines seemed to cut through the grass every bit well as whatever hybrid.  From the other lies I had practiced success too, but it is slightly different from some other hybrids  and then I needed a couple adjustments.  From the tee information technology is a true "blueish bomber".  From the fairway and sand information technology had a trend to dig a little more than other hybrids.  The reason is that the AMP cell hybrid has a more than rounded sole from heel to toe.  I remember this is why information technology hit so well out of the rough, but could dig a little more than in other atmospheric condition.  There is cypher incorrect with a rounded sole, it is just a style that fits some and might not work for others.

The Cobra AMP Prison cell hybrid is a very solid hybrid caput for 2013.  It offers great looks, amazing feel and trajectory.  I think a reshaft might exist  in lodge to tighten upwards the consistency in terms of control.  I recall the slower swing speed golfer might really like this lodge and shaft combo, but if you swing difficult and fast, you lot are going to need a different shaft.  But considering what a change took place when I reshafted the commuter, reshafting this hybrid might be a huge change too. In full general the whole AMP Prison cell line seems to hit slightly higher than the stated lofts and then that tin be a real benefit for some who demand more elevation.  With the correct shaft and the "My Fly" technology dialed in,  you lot can get the near out of this club. The Cobra AMP Prison cell hybrid; Looks good, Feels skilful and Plays good. 2.0!
